The Super Bowl XXXVI, was the 36th Super Bowl, the championship of American football. It was held on February 3, 2002, in New Orleans, Louisiana
Entering the game as 14-point underdogs (based on betting odds), the Patriots dispensed with the traditional individual player introductions, choosing to enter the stadium as a team. The approach carried over into the game. The first Patriot score was a defensive touchdown, on an interception by Ty Law. The Patriot defense held the poorly coached Rams offense to a single field goal during the first half. The explosive Rams rebounded from a 17-3 deficit with two touchdowns, and with a mere two minutes remaining in regulation the game was tied, 17-17. Rather than running out the clock and playing for overtime, the Patriot offense launched one of its few successful scoring drives of the day, with quarterback Tom Brady, the game's awarded MVP, moving the ball into range for a game-winning 48-yard field goal by placekicker Adam Vinatieri as time expired.

Super Bowl XXXIV

Super Bowl XXXIV took place on January 30, 2000 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia.
The final result was Saint Louis Rams 23, Tennessee Titans 16.
The Rams, and their undrafted quarterback Kurt Warner, surprised everyone when they improved from 4-12 in 1998 to 13-3 in 1999.
St. Louis dominated the first half, driving inside the Titans' 20-yard line on every possession. However, they could only manage three Jeff Wilkins field goals, making the halftime score 9-0.
The Rams got in the end zone 7:40 into the second half when Torry Holt caught a 9-yard pass from Warner to make it 16-0 St. Louis. The Titans countered on their next drive when Eddie George scored a one-yard touchdown, set up by a 23-yard Steve McNair run, to make it 16-6.
George got in the end zone again in the fourth quarter, and a potential rout turned into a classic. An Al Del Greco field goal tied it at 16 with 2:12 remaining in the fourth quarter. 18 seconds later, though, Warner hooked up with Isaac Bruce for a 73-yard touchdown bomb to put the Rams in the lead to stay.
The Titans tried to counter with a frenzied drive and were at the Rams' 10 yard-line with six seconds left. On the final play, McNair threw a short pass to Kevin Dyson who was tackled by Mike Jones at the one-yard line. Dyson tried to stretch his arm into the end zone, but it was too late. The Rams won their first Super Bowl.

Super Bowl XIV

Super Bowl XIV took place on January 20, 1980 in Pasadena, California.
The end result was Pittsburgh Steelers 31, Los Angeles Rams 19.
The Rams were underdogs, having barely managed to get into the playoffs in a wild card slot. Still, they somehow managed to hang on to a 13 to 10 lead at halftime, and a 19-17 lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Steelers held the Rams scoreless in the fourth quarter and scored two touchdowns for the win.
Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw was named the most valuable player.
The Steelers fans were known this year for the "Terrible Towel" fad, in which most fans would bring towels colored yellow and black (the team's colors) to all Steelers games and wave them around madly in a circle above their heads, as a show of support. Many Terrible Towels were in evidence at the Rose Bowl during this Super Bowl.
